Since its start in 1981, Sciemetric Instruments has become the premier provider of software and systems for quality control in manufacturing. Companies around the world use our signature analysis systems to detect and analyze manufacturing defects as they occur, improve quality, increase productivity and decrease costs across the entire production lifecycle.
Our Customers
Sciemetric customers are leading manufacturing companies in the automotive, industrial, medical, electronics and other sectors. They are using Sciemetric's technology for a wide range of applications:
1. Quality Control Systems for Automotive Manufacturers Sciemetric has pioneered in-process testing within the automotive industry. Our technology ensures the quality of over 12 million engines each year and controls the manufacturing quality of automatic & manual transmissions, transfer cases, gear boxes, axles at other critical powertrain components.
Ford, Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, DaimlerChrysler, , Jaguar
2. Testing of Industrial Engines Sciemetric improves manufacturing quality of highway & large diesel engines, small engines and marine engines. They are also used to test power generation, generator sets and components.
Cummins, Mercury Marine, Detroit Diesel, Briggs & Stratton, Caterpillar, John Deere
3. Ensuring Quality for Automotive Components Sciemetric signature analysis enables manufacturers to control the quality of HVAC assemblies (vehicle air conditioning equipment), blowers, compressors, fuel, braking & exhaust systems, turbo chargers, electro-mechanical assemblies, machined components such as CAMs, cranks, and more.
Bosch, Borg Warner, Magna, Behr, Visteon, Eaton, Delphi, TRW, Johnson Controls
4. Improving Quality of Industrial Components Sciemetric Instruments allows companies to ensure the manufacturing quality of general electromechanical components such as: Pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, electric motors, generators, bearings, valves, hydraulic parts, actuators.
American Standard, Timken, Carrier, York, Graco, Lennox, Tecumseh, GE
5. Monitoring of Medical Device Manufacturing Processes Sciemetric signature analysis provides the most detailed process monitoring possible. For medical device manufacturers, our solutions control the manufacturing quality for class III medical devices such as: pacemakers, internal defibrillators, heart valve replacements, stents, catheters, bone implants, joint replacement systems. They also ensure quality for single use disposable items, external catheters, syringes, filters, extruded or welded plastics parts, dental tools. IV bags, blood bags, tubing and anesthesia parts.
Medtronic, Becton Dickinson, Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Baxter, Boston Scientific, Guidant
6. Optimizing Quality in Computer Manufacturing Sciemetric products perform high speed leak testing of multi-chamber ink cartridges, and control the manufacturing quality of commercial electronics systems such as photocopiers, fax machines and printers that contain moving parts.

History
Sciemetric has been designing manufacturing defect detection systems for over 10 years. Founded in 1981, Sciemetric was initially a scientific company designing measurement systems for laboratories. By 1991, we had developed our first defect detection system based on "signature analysis", a new defect detection technique at the time. We have continued to be a leader in this type of application. In 1993, our first large-scale deployment was completed - a set of manufacturing defect detection systems for a V8/V10 assembly plant of a major automaker. Since then we have continued to build up our engineering and software development capabilities. Our product line has evolved over the years to include a range of defect detection systems and applications based on our InspeXion software platform, as well as our QualityWorX family of manufacturing process analysis software.
Sciemetric is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
