SCIEMETRIC INTRODUCES THE 3510 NVH ENGINE TEST SYSTEM

Augments Existing Hot Test or Cold Test Cells

Sciemetric®, the global leader in Signature Analysis technology, is pleased to announce the release of the 3510 NVH Engine Test System. The 3510 System provides advanced monitoring and analysis of engine noise, vibration & harshness caused by manufacturing and assembly defects such as missing bearings, timing problems and loose or rubbing components.

The 3510 System uses Sciemetric’s proprietary Signature Analysis software to analyze the entire engine “noise signature” to ensure that faulty engines are identified before they are shipped and become costly warranty repair problems. The 3510 System software can identify additional defects that are generally not found with traditional hot and cold test systems. The 3510 System also provides an industry-leading Gage R&R (repeatability and reproducibility). Unlike subjective operator assessment or conventional test systems, the 3510 System is uniquely capable of determining the root cause of defects. Competitive systems do not employ the advanced Signature Analysis algorithms used in the 3510 System, and often result in either missed defects or rejected good parts.

The 3510 System is an economical solution that is easy to setup and use. The System can be seamlessly integrated, without interrupting production, to complement and improve existing hot test or cold test cells.

“With the release of the 3510 System, we are delivering on our mission to empower manufacturers to achieve zero defects” said Nathan Sheaff, President and CEO of Sciemetric. “Having major automotive manufacturers using Sciemetric’s 3510 System is testimony to the power of our solutions. We look forward to building upon Sciemetric’s position as an industry leader in automated engine testing solutions."

The 3510 NVH Engine Test System is now available to customers.
