Job Summary

Position located in Southern Germany: responsible for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and other regions as identified.

We are looking to recruit a capable Account Manager capable of growing our European business for Sciemetric, a CTS company which is part of the TASI Group. This position requires an experienced Account Manager with a strong technical background as well as the commercial skills to prospect/hunt, and promote Sciemetric products  to new opportunities in a defined territory and/or list of named accounts. This role requires an individual to work collaboratively as part of a larger European and global sales team which includes the support of an applications engineering, engineering, project managers, marketing personnel, and channel partners.

  • Develop and grow the business within assigned European territory and/or named accounts to meet or exceed sales targets for the Sciemetric family of products including process monitoring, leak test, and Industry 4.0 data management software 
  • Generate revenue and pipeline by growing the existing customer base as well demonstrating a hunter drive by winning new customers
  • Develop strong technical product expertise with the ability to recognize customer applications to drive sales within the assigned territory and/or target markets including automotive, industrial, and medical
  • Develop and maintain a well-defined and documented sales strategy to grow existing customers and develop net new accounts 
  • Lead sales calls, demos, and support relationships within the territory/named accounts as required to meet sales objectives 
  • Provide sales support and technical leadership to other TASI business units and distributors to assist meeting sales objectives and opportunity development 
  • Work collaboratively to support opportunities with the CTS and CTS-Schreiner sales teams as well as supporting distributors within the assigned territory
  • Maintain the use of company CRM system to prepare pipeline, forecasts, and revenue stream details on a regular basis
  • Conduct customer visits weekly to grow relationships and increase sales
  • Assist marketing in organizing seminars, direct mailers, and trade shows as require

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of customer facing experience in applications or customer support roles  
  • Strong technical sales and marketing aptitude
  • Proven track record of developing new accounts with a strong sales and  technical aptitude 
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able to quickly learn the value of our products and be able to clearly articulate this to customers
  • A sound technical understanding in automotive and/or industrial manufacturing processes, including industrial automation, test and measurement, and software and hardware systems for quality control
  • A good technical understanding of instrumentation, electrical measurements and sensors would be an asset
  • Must be able to travel a minimum 50%, and as required to ensure successful execution of business plan

Desirable Attributes 

  • Experience selling manufacturing software including MES/Quality/WMS/ERP/PLM/SCADA/HMI solutions as well as automation/instrumentation hardware to automotive OEM, Tier suppliers, off-highway, industrial, and medical customers is desired 
  • Need to be willing to prospect for new accounts and be a capable “sales closer” 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinker capable of tactical execution
  • Good written, oral, communication, and presentation skills
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience with Salesforce
  • Fluent and excellent English language skills. German language skills are of advantage
