This is a notification to our valued customers of the discontinuation of the sigPOD 1202 and 1204 products and the release of the sigPOD 2204 as the replacement.
The following dates apply to this discontinuation:
*Customer service is a Sciemetric priority. Please note that while Sciemetric will endeavor to continue supporting legacy systems beyond the dates noted above, this support cannot be guaranteed.
** SigPOD 2204 is backward compatible with the sigPOD 1202 and 1204. Same connectors, power supply, accessories, and mounting.
Note: DIN Rail mount requires M3 x 0.5 x 10 mm screws, included with the sigPOD 2204 without TFT. Panel mount uses the same panel cutout hole size but requires a new bracket (10500-2200-PNL1), sold separately. SigPOD 2204 replaces the VGA port with a DisplayPort and an HDMI port. The RS232 port is replaced by a USB 4 channel RS232 adaptor (10500-2200-RS232), sold separately. See sigPOD 2204 datasheet for details.
A backup from a sigPOD 1202 or 1204, running InspeXion V8 or higher, can be installed on a sigPOD 2204 without application updates. Earlier versions of InspeXion will require an update to InspeXion V9 before installing on a sigPOD 2204. Please contact Sciemetric support for assistance.
