Sciemetric expands operations in India, appoints general manager of engineering
Amit Sindhwani brings 19 years of experience in plant equipment maintenance, machine building and industrial automation to his new role
Ottawa, Canada & Pune, India – In 2009, Sciemetric Instruments, makers of process monitoring and quality management systems for manufacturers, strengthened its commitment to serving its Asia Pacific customers by opening Sciemetric Technologies Private India Ltd. in Pune. Today, the company is expanding further in that market with extended office space to support its growing team of commissioning engineers and software developers, and appointing Amit Sindhwani as general manager of engineering for Sciemetric India.
In his role, Sindhwani will supervise technical staff, manage projects and service activities in India as well as assist with sales and business development initiatives.
“We’re excited to be bringing Amit, a seasoned professional with extensive experience, on board to help support our growth in India,” said Sciemetric CEO Nathan Sheaff. “Amit has many years of hands-on experience with various types of automation, CNC machines and manufacturing processes. He has managed accounts with many automotive powertrain and component manufacturers in India. He will provide our team in Pune with strong leadership.”
Sindhwani comes to Sciemetric directly from Messung Systems Ltd., a company that makes PLCs for the Indian market and that provides support for Mitsubishi Factory Automation products. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Marathwada University Aurangabad.
