Sciemetric releases significant upgrades to its sigPOD 1200 series in-station process monitor. sigPOD is the universal hardware platform of the company’s process monitoring and quality management systems.

2011 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Sciemetric Instruments, whose technology has been used by some of the world’s largest manufacturers to improve quality and their manufacturing processes. Engineer Nathan Sheaff founded Sciemetric in 1981.

Sciemetric releases the latest version of its proprietary analytical software, QualityWorX, that includes an improved web reporting interface that gives all users real-time access to centralized manufacturing data.

With offices and support services in Canada, the US and the UK already well established, Sciemetric strengthens its commitment to supporting its Asia Pacific customers with the opening of Sciemetric Technologies Private India Ltd. Operations will be based out of Pune.

Sciemetric announces the addition of a low-cost two-channel process monitor, the sigPOD 1302, to its sigPOD family of process-monitoring tools. The 1302 comes loaded with templates for common test applications such as press, torque, noise, vibration, harshness, or NVH, along with configurable software.

Sciemetric announces the expansion of its modular sigPOD hardware platform to support up to 24 analog channels and six encoder input channels. sigPOD is a robust, flexible platform designed for usability and visibility in live production environments.
